South of France: well what can I criticise? absolutely nothing. Incredible beaches, amazing city life and diverse culture.
I travelled with Brett, one of my best friends and her son to Nice and stayed in La Baume Eurocamp. I wanted a chilled holiday’ no make up, no worries kind of thing after a stressful year so we chose a Eurocamp I have visited a camp previously in Barcelona and just love the laid back vibes- BBQ every night, the boys playing outside and just generally relaxing by the pool.
I would highly recommend the Eurocamp it was much cleaner then expected for example no food and drink by the pool and the numerous activities gave the camp the 5* benchmark it had been set.
If I could give you some tips for this type of holiday particularly South of France it would be to hire a car. Taxis are expensive in the South of France and groceries on site were also. Hire a car there is so much to explore including Italy a few hours from Nice.
While there we visited St Raphael which was just soo picturesque and beautiful from a ride on the wheel to champagne on the beach we thoroughly enjoyed our day and it is worth a visit if your up there.
I feel so blessed to have my son who of course is also my best friend by my side travelling the world. He is so hilarious and the best company. The best quote he came out with while on the wheel looking out to the sea was “this is the life”. What parent doesn’t want to hear that right?
Although we didn’t travel France as much as we wanted I highly enjoyed just relaxing with my little Brett and having visited France 3 times over the month I shall write another blog with some more helpful attributes.
La Baume holiday deal was found on http://www.groupon.com and was £99 for 7 nights in a static caravan. We then added return flights to Nice.
